new month, fresh start

2/1/10 room, evening- Happy February!!!!!!!! I got up, ate breakfast, and studied all through the commute. It is always crowded on the morning train and the elderly lady I was standing next to was giving me dirty looks for having my book open in front of me while we were all crowding in for available space. I am a student; it cant’ be helped. It’s only really crowded from Kasugai to Ozone and that’s only 5 minutes. That’s why I didn’t feel too bad about it. :o

I thought the new section line up was starting after break next week but in fact I am once again mistaken and it started today. New faces in my section and I had two snacks with me from my host mom in addition to my lunch (LOVE HER!! ^_^) I ate one and put the other one in Koibito to begin my locker stash of food. I have a room stash at the house too. :P

I talked to Fletcher san about his job he was able to get. He says he starts mid February b/c that’s how long it takes to get all the paperwork squared away to make it legal. He suggested that I do my paperwork now even though I don’t have any prospects yet so that when I find one I can hopefully start immediately. I am definitely taking that advice. THANKS FLETCHER SAN!!!

It was raining when I came out of Japanese class and I had the umbrella my host mom gave me and since there wasn’t much wind and I had put my bag in Koibito I actually used it to walk around. I'll relent a little on my earlier stance on umbrellas; they can be really cool sometimes. I went to CJS to check my mail slot, I checked my email, I went to a cafeteria to eat my lunch, and I wondered around the toshokan (library). I love libraries. It was a little strange not being able to read anything though… except for the English newspapers they had on display. Read an article about Obama.

Then I went to tea ceremony class. It was cool (tea and sweets!) and I talked with Adam san a lot. I also stole his fan just to bug him. You see, for some warped reason the boys get longer fans than the girls do (yes we each get a fan during class. What do we do with them? Nothing. But their original purpose was for guests to fan themselves with if they got too hot. Why do they give them out in winter? I have no idea.) Any-hoo I switched my fan with Adam’s and he pretended to be really upset. It was good times. Oh and just so you don’t think we were being rude students, we did this while we were waiting for our turn with the intructor. The other students can talk when they are not up front getting the specific instructions.

It’s almost dinnertime so I’ll finish this one up later ok? (18:19)
